HOW DO YOU HANDLE ANGRY CUSTOMERS??

Please I need your advice. My name is Bob, I own (and work in) a Grocery store where I'm privileged to see and meet different kinds of people on daily basis. Both classic and classless, young and old, fresh and gowdy, overbearing and sentimental... Name it.  Sometimes, we see customers who are always bent on frustrating our lives, ranging from..buying stuffs and threatening to return the goods demanding for a cash refund after the goods might have stayed with them for some couple of days to buying and refusing to pay.  There's this woman, (not really a regular customer) who called and ordered for a full bag of Rice. After we had arranged and supplied the rice, she was supposed to make a mobile transfer to our account, she informed us that she had a minor issue with her mobile App which she was supposed to get fixed before making the transfer.  Being an old cash paying customer, we agreed to part away with the rice pending when she settle the matter with her...

WHAT IT TAKES TO START A BUSINESS. Bobby's view.

I am often asked what I think it takes to set up a successful business and  of course I usually answered that it takes a variety of qualities and skills. But there's one thing it takes above all else; the desire  to win and stay at the top.  Some people I know in business are happy to try hard. Some even to try their best. To succeed at running your own business, you need to be absolutely determined to make it work. There will undoubtedly be hurdles and problems, some you can predict and more you can't. Many people who start simply won't want to do what it takes to overcome some of these issues.  They would have reached their limit. So it will  come down to how badly you want to succeed. If you want to succeed badly enough, you will definitely find a way through. Yes!  They are definitely some people who are well suited to setting up on their own, and others who aren't, although opinions vary as to whether entrepreneurs are born or  made. I belie...

IDEAS RULES THE WORLD. READ MY STORY.

At the peak of last year, I attended a seminar organized by Rev. Sam Adeyemi of Day Star Christian center in Wuse. It was a yearly program the Reverend organizes to teach people how to achieve their dream.  We were over  10,000 attendees at that year's event and the Reverend invited leaders in different fields of endeavors to talk to us on leadership, entrepreneurship, investment, real estate, and business management. Some of these guys were billionaires. The highlights of the three day event for me was when the Reverend came on to tell us that to achieve it in live, we needed to change our thinking. He shared his own story and ideas from his bestselling book "Ideas Rule The World", and said one of the things that will change our thinking was to visit five star hotel and just sit in the lounge, the swimming pool area and just observe the rich. He said it was going to shift our thinking. I took the Reverend's advice. As soon as I returned to Garki, I began to  v...

MY EXPERIENCE WITH ABUJA CORPERATE BEGGARS

I have always have my reservations for all these mundane Abuja corperate  beggars but now I'm close at getting pissed.  Early 2012, when I newly came in to Abj for my Traditional Igbo Apprenticeship, there's this heavily built man, dressed in an Italian gold tweed jacket, complemented with criss-crossed emblazoned blue-white ties, knotted professionally round his neck down to his threatening potruded pot belly. He majestically walked up to me in a kingly stride while I was busy mopping the shop immediately after I had  finished displaying our goods that very early morning.  According to him, he was going to the airport to pick one of his family member who was  coming in from the overseas and got stopped by the road side as the fuel in his vehicle got finished..He pleaded that I should assist him with 10 thousand Naira to help refuel his Toyota Highlander Jeep. The way he placed emphasy on the Highlander Jeep made me conclude that this man is a no nonsens...
